I have a LET running approx 260hp plus on a Phase 1 EDS chip. Im not really ever looking to go above 290-300 in the future but was wondering the following....

- what advantages would stand alone management give?
- potential power increases on the same spec engine?
- costs involved (what needs replacing/upgrading and the cost of a decent one?
- where to get it done?

When my KKK goes i might upgrade to something that can easily handle 300+ to get some life out of it and ive been told engine management is the best way to go...

Engine spec at the mo is...

Phase 1
Saab Red Injectors
XE Inlet Cam with Vernier
Huge FMIC all with large DIA pipework
Competition Fuel Pump
Low Comp Pistons

Also im still running a standard top hat, what power increase would a regal enlarged one give realistically?

Cheers

standalone is THE way to go when tuning.
total control over EVERYTHING plus options for many more features eg, boost control, staged injectors, methanol injection, fan control, rev limit control.....its pretty much endless if you spend money on a decent system.
cost is upwards of £300 + installation/wiring by someone that really knows what theyre doing (not some blind chimp that managed to strip and twist an XE loom into a 1.2 carb) and a full re-map.

i look at it more as an investment, you can rip it out and keep it for your next car and you wont really loose any money on it.

Yeh thats what i thought, any details on best manufacturers etc? Where to get a custom loom made and set up, would really like them to have specific C20LET experience opposed to a rolling road place that does everything.
