i saw an astra H on audi R8 wheels (i think there r8 there the ones with lots of spokes andare polished with black in between the spokes)

i left mine at 5.30.took 2 and a half hours to get there.wasnt sure if stand passes had any extra benefit of jumpin the que but would of been good.:)

gutted big time i missed the show,just finnished giving the car a clean aswell,in my opinion it wouldnt of looked out of place either!(was there any calypso red GTEs there by any chance?)shes come up gleaming,maybe the financial issues played a part to but wow there are some stunning cars on show. im liking the champagne gold nova on euro wheels.

tbh the queuing really took the shine off it slightly for me today, joined queue at 8:10, joined stand at 10:25. Left at 3:20 ish and joined the queue, got to tescos at wellinborough (3 miles from pod) at approx 5:20. Journey home also marred with instant puncture on the m1! Not nice changing it on the hard shoulder!
However lots of nice stuff there, just sifting through my pics as we speak......

i didnt queue for too long lol the joys of arriving a little too early.think we got there for about 6:30. was a great day out and well worth the travel. hopefully i will be there in the nova next year :). took forever to get back out though.

time for my pics

my day started at 6.30, usual bollocks getting ready which i wont bore you with but my first pic is me at the garden centre at 10 waiting for porter with my ticket

once i was in i flew around the fields trying to find the dryest part possible which i think i did just about. after that i was then running to and from the camp directing people to us until about 7. so i finally got my tent up and then took some pics of the other peeps

but it did do a 14.2 1/4mile and it has uncovered a rather dangerously high (for my engine that is) level of fueling the operator said that if i sort the fueling and my air filter? (he thinks it may be blocked or restricting airflow) then i should be on for around 145-150 with ease so its highlighted a few issues i was already exspecting but for a bog standard xe its doing better than most aparently

They are the same has Luxe wheels, they come on Nova's, Astra and Cavalier in 14" and 15", but these or similar one's are an irmscher option, with the spokes paints dark and the rim polished.

I have a set of standard 15" ones in the garage i was hoping to do the same. Someone was selling some the same as above on mig a while ago but wanted £400 just for wheels.. Very nice though!!

Brett used to have the blue wide arch that a chap on here has painted black and put a big engine in ...

Thanks again oh and the girls in it that someone mentioned was my best mate Vix at the wheel and me in the passenger side ... brett was off shopping again ha ha

The wheels are off an Astra Champion which we had to get couriered from Inverness they are slightly like rocking horse poop to get hold of. He has 9 of them at the moment 5 done like that and 4 spares. He's a little anal about his wheels! : ) xx

Andy - he had them done by Pristine Wheels like that they are awesome looking. Even had one up in the show room for a while as they came out looking that good.

Cheers guys :) It's nice getting comments, especially as I have been fed up with the car owing to it's engine problems recently. Hopefully that should be sorted out soon enough though :D It's a credit to it's predecessor! R.I.P B117 CAR. I only went and had the damn thing insured for the last three months :O!! It was only when my renewal came through that I realised I'd actually been uninsured on my current car and paying out each month for the one which has been dead and buried for the last 4 years! Oops! Must just be down to habit lol

I have adjustable coilovers asked Dougie to make it lower at the front but we just haven't got round to doing it. There is a photo of Dougie's Nova on my SR steelies in the 'Staff Cars' section of TV this month, it does suit them but I love the steelies he has temporarily nicked off his Belmont lol Unfortunately it currently has one odd one because the tyre had a nail in it and has deflated :( then a can of Tyreweld exploded all over me lol so we just swapped the wheel.

well for the time i own it, it will remain totally standard and as its only a toy it will do zero miles between shows and over the winter :D . There may come a time when i will have to move it on once i have my widearch track thing up and running but i will try my best to keep it stored away just for shows etc

Cool :) I thought mine had low mileage at 52k but compared to some of the shizzle that has been turning up recently It seems quite high lol
Dougie's has 22k I think, just a couple of dents but he isn't going to bother sorting them cos it adds to 'the look'. Also he had to beat hell out of the rear arches to get it out at Combe but I reckon he will get them fixed up cos they will rot really quickly otherwise.

the more i look at this car the more i like it,so can finaly say what an awsome looking nova,love it.a green set of tinted windows(standard gte,gsi etc) wouldnt go a miss!maybe change the windscreen to a top tinted one.

yeah that nova is one of my favorites:cool:
my car was parked next to the blue 2.0 ecotec and near that mint pale yellow nova(tom beverleys iirc)

it does look nice from the pictures. i had a silver gte before but they realy dont come up much. my fav gte was the white 2 litre owned by sherco.
