ok, ive seen Nova';s in mags such as Total vauxhall, Revs, Max power etc... that have about 250bhp which is shit loads for a nova obviously, but is there a limit to the amount u should have, ie over a certain amount would it be simply undrivable even with shit hot suspension, braces etc.....???????????

oh dear - looks like one of chicken drummers m8's!

Theres no need to post stuff like that m8 - if u aint got anything constructive to say dont bother.

:?

the mre you have the more you need to protect yourself - rollcage etc...

Read somewhere a "sensible" limit in the 180's / 220's ? but I could by telling porkies...

id say sensible is between 160-180bhp cause its front driven u cant make as much use of the power as u could with a 4wd/rwd car

however when u modifiy a car the first thing that gets forgoten is sensible

My mate has a 300bhp nova and althoguh he has to take it a little stead in first and second its pretty driveable, certainly in fifth gear in the dry its bloody awesome.

My perfect nova would have an alloy 1.6 block (like the swindon 2.0 16v ones) cosra 16v head, tapered throttle bodis and be running about 220bhp.

Good power, minimum weight and still street useable.

Truth is though, it all depends what you are planning on doign with it.
