get it shot blasted. weld up all the sh1te and get it powder coated (that sounds so easy). my mate was in the same sort of situation but he done as i just said, now its powder coated black and looks great. if you do that it also seals it so it should'nt really rust again.

it'll still rust from the inside out, diffarent if it were atualy dipped...

rear beam? Get a replacement - quicker than welding and prob cheaper too if you dont have a welder...

you could get a new beam or get welded up, shot blasted and painted if thats the look your going for

Yes mate rear beam , trying to get a hold of stuarty anyone got a number for him ? . would rather replace it so i know its fine and no chance of it falling out on me . Nath

Flippin eck!

Before Vaughan's I'd never seen a rear beam rot through on a nova, but it now seems as though time has started to take it's toll on even the thickest metal to be found on nova's.
I'm starting to have second-thoughts about using one as a basis for a trailer now, and to regret having bent two of them on kerbs in the saloon.

bit of progress today , picking up my new axle off Stuart this evening :D could people give me tips on what tool i will need , im thinking socket set , axle stands , selection of ring spanners . Nath

1x 17mm spanner, 1x 17mm ratchet and socket, 1x pry bar and 1x 8mm/10mm spanner.

i was about to say i'd kinda got a spare rear beam.

well i 100% have................but its lined up for putting the disc brake setup onto it.

glad ya got 1 anyway mate...


theyre easy enough to swap over.
