Not happy with banning the teaching of evolution they've built a Museum so they can get kids to believe that all past events / dinosaurs are from the Bible. Im sorry but trying to make out that they came out the bible is clutching at straws at best. Am I the only one that thinks this is so wrong?
http://www.creationmuseum.org/
This (http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/2007/09/10/tale-of-two-museums) made me LOL
It also demonstrated how evolution teaching leads to confusion on the part of students who are trying to understand the meaning and purpose of life.
Yes, because some bloke sitting in the heavens making dinosaurs out of pixie dust isn't confusing at all!
thats disgusting, so much for free thinking

I like posing the issue to the religious enigneers at work..... erm how can you be an engineer and not believe in all the evolution stuff :D

it doesnt work, think I watched a program on this a while ago and I remember coming very close to throwing the TV out the window lol. There was a guy there working and he was an AstroPhysicist and was telling all the kids that God made everything. I just wanted to punch him.

You seen the price of admission.....
Propoganda for about £15 a pop :P
LOL, I used to work with a Born again Christian and an absolute Athiast. I got them into an argument one lunch hour and it went nuts.
Apparently, Dinosaurs are really only 4000 years old!!
Mosis(sp) did build an arc and put 2 of every animal on it and we are all iinbred as born from Adam and Eve. Sweeeeeeet!!!
I had an ex once who refused point blank to accept anything about Evolution, and believed that Darwin was an "evil, twisted, sad little man".
This being the girl who didn't know what the stars in the night sky were, and thought I was making it up when I said each star is like our sun. She called me all sorts of names under the sun until I pointed her in the direction of various encyclopaedia's and such. Even then she didn't openly accept I was right lol
lol, let them believe what they want. Ive come to realise that religion is important to make sure those who cant accept how insignificant they are in the universe, and that when theyre dead, theyre actually dead, dont go completely loony lol

I wouldnt have lasted long with her lol. Had an argument with someone at work a while (he was from africa and a die hard christian), thing that annoyed me the most was he kept saying that all science is lies. I tried to tell him about the universe and the physics behide it but he refused to accept it saying it was lies and the bible was right as it was written down and therefore exsisted, but hard scientific data wasnt regarded as proof of anything.
I was just ripping my hair out at how stupid some people are. I enjoy a good debate / argument but when the other person has nothing to prove anything or any data to back up their wild claims and then still wont back down it really winds me up.
I wouldnt have lasted long with her lol.
Neither did I
lol
Although, for a evangelist, she was damned good in the sack :D

TBH I have that view the thing that pisses me off is when they try an get kids when they are young and brainwashed. People are allowed their beliefs but when it effects other people then its a problem.
I.E. If someone wanted to go off an pray a million times a day while at work thats fine but if I wanted to go for a smoke every half hour it would be a different matter.

that is the best thing i've read in a while.
I got into trouble with the missus cos I got my kids to ask the vicar if woodworm went in 2 by 2.....
Now my rant about african christians:- In the beginnning there were nomadic tribesmen. when the seasons changed, they would move to better ground. Along came a missionary. He says 'lets build a church & worship the lord' the drought came. 'Lets pray to God, he will provide'. The crops fail. 'Stay & pray'. Next thing is some git in cordoruoy is on my doorstep with a collecting tin saying ' Our twinned parish in Africa has had no rains for 3 years, please give us some money'. The church has caused most of the problems in Africa, & we must pay for them............
lol - who needs scientology when the god squad get all "high and mighty".
I've a friend who's a staunch religious type and she teaches kids science but she actually cries after class when she teaches the evolution stuff because it goes against everything she believes!
lol - I'd NOT loved being on board the Ark if a T-rex was on it - I've seen Jurrassic Park and the bugger fecked up a metal shi[ let alone a wooden one!
theres actually a new theory that says the ark and noah were part of a big meteorite strike...was v interested on telly the other week...
he refused to accept it saying it was lies and the bible was right as it was written down and therefore exsisted, but hard scientific data wasnt regarded as proof of anything.
And have you heard their side of the story? "No, you're wrong, its lies!" Ask them how they know and they'll say something like "Because God says so" or "It just is, ok?"
Its nuts!!

Nothing wrong or scary with the most powerful, and richest country on the planet, with a vast ****nal of nuclear weapons genuinely belives that teaching kids about the truth is wrong.... Nothing at all.
I agree with what Lee said, a lot of religious people would go crazy (crazier than they already are for believing the sh1t) if they realised how insignificant they really are. If I have kids they won't be listening to any of that crap!
Also about people getting to go off to prey in work time, we have a prayer room at work. They can go as often as they like, spend as much time in there as they want- nothing can be said to them even though they blatantly take the pi$$. Coffee is my saviour but I don't get to bugger off and lkeave everyone else grafting whilst I have a cuppa!
we dont get non of that religious needing a prayer room round here, they'd be uproar lol
I work at John Lewis though, it's a very PC company.
In my department there is none of that crap though... I work in a kitchen full of 20-40 yr old Manc fellas lol If they tried it, there WOULD be uproar!

ahh the good ol science vs religion haha.
Personally I'm with Phil's views having also done physics although I know people (one is on this forum) who are 100% pro religion. Down to choice I guess if people chose to ignore the facts of science.
What I really do hate is the brainwashed kids. Not right. there was a programme on Channel 4 the other week about it iirc
