Hi guys i am fairly new to the forum and have just straight swopped my corsa for a nova 1.4 SRI. people have been asking why i did it lol but iv always fancied one and the chance arose so i went for it it and do not regret it at all :) i havent really done much to it since getting it apart from paint the wheels get the windows tinted and fit a better sound system, my gmax 60mm kit is in the post and should be fitted before pvs!

anyways heres a few piks of my corsa and my new nova!

I was sad to see it go for about a week or so lol but soon got used to the nova and love it to bits, so much more fun to drive aswell!

this is it when i first picked it up

wheels off ready for painting

reason for having a mk1 rear bumper is that previous owner revered into a tree and cracked the original lol hence the small dints in the boot either side of the reg plate, future plans are to get gsi bumpers and paint the the same colour as the wheels along with the skirts! also want to semi smooth the boot and tidy up the bodywork a bit, overall i think its wuiet clean and it has 36k on the clock aswell!!

Very nice. Are those tints legal? Dunno if its just the angle of the pics but they look very dark.

looks like youve got yourself a good example there mate, that bronzy red kicks 4rse, colour of the wheels goes well with it too, done a good job on those, not a fan of the tints myself, but everything else looks sweet :thumb:

edit : whats the boot floor like for rust after taking that knock, was it long ago ?

Cheers guys, i was bored yesterday so ventured out to the scrappy and got myself some 2.0 16v brakes and fitted them lol piks will be up soon, as soon as i finish work tomorow ill be cleaning it ready for pvs!! mk2 bumper is on the list of things to do i want gsi ones and am going to paint them same colour as the wheels

with regards to the windows i didnt want limo black as its too dark and imo chavvy so i got dark smoke which lets 20% light through for them to be legal i think it has to le 50% through but oh well it looks good!! i wasnt sure at 1st as i wanted to keep it looking original but i think it helps with the dark bumpers and wheels :)

Cheers for comments guys!

oh and i also have a 60mm gmax kit to fit tommorow gonna be a busy boy!!

I dunno about them wheels - the black ones looked nice and sleek - flowed well with the bumpers...

Speedlines do suit it though and it's stunning - just not sure if white is right - especialy as the rest of the coding is dark...

In the forth pic, whats that hanging down underneath the car?!

Car looks good though, mk2 rear bumper sets it off. I liked the Cesaro painted wheels more, tied in with the bumpers/skirts, but it is your car!!

Tail pipe on that back box is huge!! Mudflaps, are they from vauxhall? Want some for mine.

Pics of the roll cage....!

Thats the fuel pump cage, they always come loose!

bacbox isnt really to my liking but the old peco piece of poop it had on it didnt sit right atall with the mk2 bumper regarles of how much twisting and re-positioning i did!! so i got hold of that powerflow backbox its 6" by 4 " oval :| which is fecking huge lol it does the job for now only problem is when i eventually get a new system ill need another bumper as this one has melted itsself nicely to fit lol.

I think the thing hanging down is something to do with the fuel it has a pipe coming from the tank going to it lol im not too sure :S

mudflaps arent genuine vauxhall ones i got them off ebay worked out at about £20 delivered for 4 there very very good quality and have metal inserts inside them so they hold there shape really well!!

you want some inside piks of the cage?

Id get that tie wrapped up at the very least as its the housing/guard for the fuel pump which iirc the pump is attached to so it will be hanging by your fuel lines/power wires for the pump could come off, smash open ans set the world ablaze lol, but seriously id check it as you may find your pump had parted from the chassis leg there bud!

Very nice looking motor tbh though speedlines in white do suit it, btw what colour actually is it as looks similar to calypso red (possibly, but i am slightly colourblind so could just be me)lol

i have just washed it now and am still in my ****ty clothes so will go and wack a zip tie around it now and have a look at the siruation cheers mate also the colour is a vauxhall colour its the bronze they use to paint the tigras also made a few corsas in that colour!!
