I am the proud owner of a crackin' B-reg nova SR, but am rather fed up with the poopy brakes. I stupidly bought said brake conversion (second hand) on the premise that:- "It'll fit any nova model mate - no probs!" ..And monkey's will fly out my butt!! When the whole lot is assembled, the wheel doesn't fit on as it seems to be that the caliper sits too far out from the disc edge. (this may not be the case, but it seems like it). Do I need to buy some nova GTE hubcarriers, or will I just have to sell 'em and get a PROPER big brake conversion. If so could you please tell me the best (and cheapest) type for 14x5.5" wheels. CHEERS muchly

They will fit under standard gte/gsi alloys if you space them slightly with some very cheap wheel spacers.....trust me.
That way you can keep your brakes and wheels also before I get a rut of people telling you it will shag your bearings......bollox I've run 45mm offset wheels with 5mm spacers for ages and mine are fine and thats a difference of 9mm you only need 3-5mm spacers.
Job's a good 'un.

You could try some 14" cav or astra alloys from a scrap yard, they will be about ?80-?100.
