know this is not nova related but thought some of you might find this interesting...

Well my cousin bought a ducati 916 very cheap needed a few bits doing, so we've fitted a new batery, new starter solenoid, new starter relay. bled the brakes. now whats left to do for mot is change the rear tyre and the big job is i gotto change the clutch basket and numpty who we bought it off dropped in on its side while the clutch casing was off and snaped 2 springs off doh!!!
I've always loved the 916 and 996, especialy the sound of them...

i've also been helping my friend with his mini. it was his 1st car. hes had it for around 4-5 years now. arents bought him it while he was recoverng from a broken neck & back from crashing his motor bike. hes made a full recovery which is the main thing!!!

well the mini. started as a 998cc, then went to 1275cc which dies straight away literaly , so went for a nice fresh 1380cc with 298 scatter cam, lightened flywheel, lcb manifold ect ect on a single hif44 su carb 93hp. 3 rebuild later and a total of 3 sets of piston rings and 3 pistons we have now decided to do it properly and go for V-tec power .

its a b16a2 from a EG civic vti. we will be building a new engine at a later date with the b16a1 engine which we allready have in bits which came from his crx vti (which we bought for the engine)

the current engine will be running on hayabusa throttle bodies, with a stainless 4branch manifold and system, and gotech pro managment.

completely seam/stitch welded shell, fia aproved safety devices full roll cage with aditional bars welded in, allspeed engineering subframe kit, rear beam axle and coilovers, going for twin tank style with 1 big alloy tank in the boot. mk1 rear lights and hinges. corsa vented front brakes on the rear for rear disc conversion. custom dash. and more

theres still lots to buy like front coilovers, full set of braided brake lines, fuel tank, braided fuel lines, carbon flip front just to name a few , lots more aswell

i could be here all night writing this . but should be able to get the idea. going down the garage one night this week with my laptop and were going to get the beast up and running (i hope)

heres a few pics

and last but not least, my mate with the above mini has been building something special. sorta put the mini on hold and this has taken 1 month to build, have a blast to make sure its all good and then a strip down and paint to get to how it is in the pics below.

right, basicly it started off as a bare Go-Kart chassis purchased on ebay and travelled up to birmingham to pick it up, this was about 2months ago now.

one vfr400 later and some welding and custom maching this is what we have...

A VFR400 engined Go-Kart proper manual gears (sequential 1down-5up)

A Proper animal.

and again some pics, its almost finished being built back up after spraying now..

how does the kart steer with such a over hang and such a heavy engine ?? really tempted to put a bike engine on mine thinking about something small like a cr250f engine :)

its only been for a blast up n down the street a few times haha but all seems good to be honest, the engine isnt too heavy and cuz your sat right next to it on the other side it sorta balances it out a little..
