Starting problems

When i start my xe it fires up but keep on doin the turnin over noise and wen i take the keys out engine stops but the turnin over noise still carrys on,i hav to disconnect the battery to stop it,anyone no what the problem can b

from wat u say it sounds like your starter motor is sticking

Or could be a faulty ignition switch

I'd go with the ingnition switch. Does the dash stay lit up?

could be as mentioned a sticky starter or sticky solenoid, or a wiring fault between the outgoing side of the contactor to the solenoid coil trigger wire. for instance the starter is off and the solenoid is de-energised, when energised (key turned), the Pre-engage contacts make in the solenoid and the out going wire (to the motor) is supplying current to the solenoid trigger and therefor latching on until the battery is disconnected.
