LET Cooling

Ive had a Valeo GSi radiator fitted from Chris Astley to my LET. Currently its not got a fan on it...do i need one? If so which one should i get as it will need to be slim..also how should i attach it as the GSi housing is no good.

Aye you'll be best fitting one, something like a KenLowe, Spal, Pacet slim line fan will be ideal, 10" or 12", you can get mounting kits for them.
Try somewhere like DemonTweeks, Rally Design.

Don't think you'll go wrong with either of them really, i've got a Pacet on mine, only went for that one as it was the cheapest i could find at the time, i got it from Rally Designs ( www.raldes.co.uk (http://www.raldes.co.uk) )

Cable ties FTW, I used a astra coupe fan turned around an put in front of the rad and cable tied in place as I had no way of fixing it.

You can go front mount or reverse mount. Some fans you have to state which you're doing before you order.

Depends on how your rad sits. mine is still pretty much in the standard position so I went for 2 front mounts. The yellow one the rad has been moved forward and centralised so went for a rear mount.

If you get a Demon Tweeks catologue they have a chart with all the dimensions so you can work out before ordering.

I like the idea of having 2, ill have a measure up later. Simps did you get your front mount sprayed up or did it come like that? Ive been thinking bout spraying mine but im concerned it would have an effect on cooling. It would have to be etch primed first then sprayed so im thinking it may insulate it too much?

mine was the normal ally silver. I just got a cheap can of black paint from my local factors (so its thin) and just lashed it on! Mine still went well! lol

on my old let i was going to get the cooler anodized black. wont be thick like paint and extremely durable..

Yeh i was thinking bout anodizing also, there is a place near me. Provides a good protective layer. I might have a radiator & intercooler session this weekend then and get a fan hooked up and the FMIC sprayed.

nope they are fine, mine never gets hot for some reason and never had a problem with cooling.
