View Full Version : Courier needed
Can anyone suggest a courier to take a saloon rear bumper?
Dimensions are 150cm wide, 27cm tall, 67cm deep. Weighs 6kg.
Tried Royal Mail, Parcel2Go, DHL, Citilink - all said no, too big as they calculate it as a box rather than the U shape it is.
I know there is a place near me (in the north) called Tuffnells ?
Nearest one to me is Westbury - would cost me more in petrol to drive there and drop the parcel off than it would to post it lol

We operate a parcel delivery service. Every item must be boxed (or jiffy bag / envelope depending on size) to travel in our system.
I don't have a box that big lol
Raymond, if it was a front bumper they'd take it, but the saloon rear bumper is a lot deeper than a hatch one which puts it over their size limits
Pallet would cost shedloads more than its worth
ANC FTW, although they've now been bought out by FedEx and we (my company) kicked them out of Yeovil lol Sorry! Their pick up from you work tho.... When I posted my 2 standard mk2 bumpers I just wrapped them in bubblewrap and black bags, cost about £18 iirc to post

I could bring it back to Wrexham from PV..
have you tried going into a post office ?? my local post office always take oversize bits from me and ok them for delivery
I went to the post office and they said no lol
£21 for 1-2 day delivery through parcel2go/dhl
Too big for both of them
DTR-DEVIL may have saved me, DCS will take it, but for £30. Considering I said to the buyer £35 with postage (less a couple of quid for fees) I've asked him if he wouldn't mind paying a bit more postage, as effectively at that price I'm selling a bumper for <£3 lol lol
