what are the usergroups?

as the title says. There is only one usergroup and just wondered what they are, and how you get more user groups. and what are the benifits.

Its just a way to group members together on different circumstances, an administrator is the only user that can create new groups. the group owner can then add/remove new members.

There is actually 3 groups setup, one contains all the moderators, you can assign a group to be a moderator of a forum, so that any members of the group have moderator permissions on that forum. its just an easy way to set things up.

You can also make it so certain forums are only accessible to users of a certain group.

I was originally thinking of having a group for different areas of the country, so its easier for people to get in touch with people.
