Corsa B Sport 16v Project.

Well then guys after my accident with teh nova a while back i went and bought a mk3 Nova (Corsa B Sport:thumb:) and started taking parts of off the nova and fitting them to the corsa along with some new parts.

Im not a great writer so ill let the pics speak for them selves

This is the day after i bought the car so i went out for a nice long drive and took some piccys.

Then it was left alone for a week while i striped the nova to a bare shell.

The car was sitting on some crappy gmax shocks and springs so me and a friend fitted my coilovers and set it all up to how i liked it.

Then started on the exhaust and air filter.

picked up myself a nice cda air induction kit and fitted that, very easy, great piece of kit.

Then was the time for the exhaust to get sorted so i sourced a straight throught system and de-cat and fitted that keeping the same backbox and standard manifold.

It was then pretty much left like that for a while as i was concentraighting my time and money on Dj'ing.

Found this mini aero bumper at a mates garage so i thought id chav it and see what it looked like on the car, what you think? shall i do it? :confused:

Im going to be sorting out the bonnet and ive got 2 new doors on the way and also arch trims so after that it will be pretty mint.

Need to get a new bottom arm ball joint also.

Next job was sort the rear out, took the rear seats out, cleaned and painted.

Also bolted down the sub/amp, trust me that thing isnt going anywere lol bolted right throught the floor!

Now the plan is to take the car off the road in November and do a full nut/bolt re-build including Adams 1600 16v hopefully lol full spec will come soon once i have a better idea of what im going to be using it for.

It looks well so far. Any other plans for it? I've really started to like Corsas after i started messing about in mine. Your one looks well but as with most Vauxhalls, subilty is the key. Big bodykits are just cheap looking now.

Umm well im going for a lightweight but comfortable 'tourer' i spose you could call it, comfortable buckets, striped rear, decent sounds, 1600 16v with plenty of mods, keeping it black(re-spray), and some subtle body mods (mini front bumper, moded rear bumper, adjustable rear spoiler, new wheels, and some other bits and bobs but more importatly its going to ALL be striped and every single problem will be fixed. Should be quite nice once finished.

Then after that will be phase 2, fast road/tarmac rally car lol

So after months of no progress and basically spending all my money on Dj equipment and random shiz i decided, as the weathers nice, to do some work on teh B......

Id say another 4 hours and it will be ready for some filler and primer.

My next plans are to get the whole exterior looking good and then hopefully by then i will have sourced the C16SE and the supercharger and then i can start building the engine up and fitting it....

slow at the mo as I've got carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand so its of little use! The aim is to get the engine bay and inside painted, engine in and trailor it to billing.

Lol ok its not quite finished but you get the idea. I forgot how much of an **** Fiberglass is! What can i use to clean myself and brushes? I tryed terps but it didnt do nowt!

Long hot soak in the bath with some vanila essence gets stuff out of hard to reach places and stuff like filler.

lool Best way is to get The Simps over, he will Hand wash you all over and then give you a sweet smell. Worked for me anyways.

I dont think it looks stupid but your right, no body will have the same front end as this :D

instead of cutting the length off the ends you would of been better cutting it out the middle so the grill openings lined up with the headlights imo

That was an option but it would have left no room for the tow bar and it would have caused issues with the corners lining up, its all mounted on the car now and it looks square and level so im happy :) just needs a bit more FG and then a good sand down and a skim of filler and stopper then it will be primed ready for the whole car to be sprayed.

I also spotted a tiny bit of surface rust on the front so i applied some direct to rust paint and it worked a treat :)

Im thinking about going matt black all over? Ideas and suggestions wanted, Tbh im not to bothered on the colour its being made to drive and not look at, as long as it all looks fairly decent and is the same colour i dont mind.
