This evening at 4:55 in our H1 data center, electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding our electrical equipment room Thankfully, no one was injured. In addition, no customer servers were damaged or lost.

Thats tech speak for "one of the cleaners/tecky interns spilt his coffee/cleaning bucket over a computer"!

bummer though.

datacentres tend to have fire supression systems like the ones i have at work. I'b be suprised if the servers are that damaged. What a bummer a week before PV.
