2.0 Redtop Distributor???

Hi i'm new here.

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I need to know the answer before I start looking for an engine.

Can the 2.0 Redtop engine have a distributor bolted to it? I intend on running one on carbs and it would be much easier to just bolt a distributor on rather than have to piss around with wiring etc.

Early 1's already have a dizzy mate, late 1's have a coil pack:thumb:

but the dizzy has no vac advance, you need some from a mk2 cav or something,

id just buy MJ and be done with it :)

Aye, you need a 1980s big block carb ignition setup.
Rare as fook, last one i saw on ebay went for 170quid......
