I just sold something on ebay and got a note off the buyer saying -

I have purchased the following item on eBay from you. Please send me the total amount I owe you.

''I WANT THIS ITEM SHIPPED TO MY FRIEND IN NIGERIA THROUGH FIRST CLASS ROYALMAIL INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR,SHE WORKS WITH THE BRITISH EMBASSY IN LAGOS AND HER NAME AND ADDRESS IS : NAME: YEROKUN OLUFEMI OYEKUNLE ADDRESS: #200 UGUDU STREET , GRA , OGUDU-OJOTA , 23401 , LAGOS , NIGERIA''

Sounds a bit dodgy to me

She also has no feedback and signed up to ebay 4 day ago..

What you think??

Their is another address atached which seems to be hers but i have heard about these people that con you and go on about nigeria before lol.

I have sent her the invoice to pay for the item so just waiting to see if she does...

Dont dispatch until you have cleared funds. Explain this to him / her. If they dont like it, report them to ebay.

The T&C's section of my ebay ads is usually longer than the item description lol

I always say UK bidders only, will not ship overseas etc as I don't want any of that hassle (some stuff I've said I'll ship to Europe though, but thats mainly due to attracting German interest on Vauxhall parts).

Did you give shipping options to send the item worldwide - when you list items I think ebay asks you where you are willing to send stuff (UK, europe, worldwide). If you said UK or Europe you could probably get around it like that; then offer to the second highest bidder.

Its a scam my mate recently sold a psp on there and they asked it to be sent to nigeria,it was far too good to be true when you consider it sold for 488pound!!!
Always list where your prepared to send to.
