I don't know whether it's just the search function on NL or me, but I couldn't get much info this morning.

We have a TAS mounts for engine front and gearbox front, and a Chris Astley rear gearbox mount, we didn't get any bolts with the TAS mounts.

Problem is with the front engine mount as pictured below, and the fact it only has one hole, that you can't bolt into like the OEM mount.

The imperial bolt (1/2 UNC x3) pictured is the perfect fit, slightly bigger than M12.

Assuming my diagram above is correct, and that the bolt cannot be removed once the mount is in place, am I right in thinking this is how you fit it:

1/ Bolt the TAS mount to the engine bracket
2/ Bolt engine bracket to engine
3/ Locate TAS mount into holes on chassis bracket.

Also which of the 2 holes do you use on the engine bracket, and is it OK to make the correct one bigger as the through bolt is a meaty 1/2".

When the TAS mount is bolted to the chassis bracket, there is very little clearance between the metalastik bush and the chassis leg, so much so that we had to grind a couple of mm off the bush's collet to allow clearance for the bolt head. Is this normal? Is it because we are running the original 1.0 shell chassis bracket which although slightly different in design is essentially the same?

Any pics and advice would be great :thumb:

yes you fit it in that order

Just hit the chassis leg a few times to get clearance for the bolt head.

We took 2mm off the collet that side where there was plenty of excess, offered it all up earlier and it's fine. It's the top hole on the engine bracket, which only needs enlarging by a couple of thou :)

Yep, that all sounds about right...

The TAS mounts are a bit 'universal' and you have to adapt things to make them fit...

Grind the head of the bolt down a bit for clearance & fit it in from the chassis leg side so that the nut is accessable on the mount/engine side.

I'd be tempted to weld a washer over/around the hole in the metal eng mount that the long bolt passes through. Just to make a proper job of it.

Took your advice Craig with the washer, posting a couple of pics in case someone does a search in future. There was enough room in the end to get a 19mm spanner between mount and chassis leg :)
