View Full Version : Thrust Bearing
Can anyone tell me the difference in dimensions between a thrust bearing from an F13 and one from a larger box such as an F20?
Pics would be great!

Haven't got dimensions or pics sorry, but the Helix website has a good parts list for cross referencing: http://www.helix-autosport.com/groupn_fulllist.asp?Make=VAUXHALL+--+OPEL&Model=%25&Submit=Submit
Thrust bearings are the last colum but one, beginning with 40-
F16 and F20 share the 40-3684, whereas the F15 and F13 share 40-3683
I rang em yesterday to see if their bearing could be used with an OEM clutch, they were very helpful.
We have a problem with CP's fancy clutch, it is open pemanently and I wonder if we have the wrong thrust bearing. It was an uprated brass item and from memory it was deeper than the standard f13 item.
So you cant engage the cltuch?
I have a big block thrust bearing that i could measure if I can find it.
Took the car to the grafix shop and put it in gear as the handbrake is non existant and the car still rolled freely. The clutch is permanantly released.
Cheers
Id expect that youve checked the obvious answer? (clutch cable adjustment)
cant you knock up some super sexy spacer?
Dug out those release bearings i had
Pics:
One of the left is from a F15 box/clutch(s/b)
One on the right is off a F16 box(b/b)

As you can see, minimal size difference tbh.....
Not enough to stop the clutch engaging anyway.
Does the clutch pedal feel light? Or normal?
Any chance the clutch plate was round the wrong way? Seen that done before
