Going to attempt to make something as this area just looks so untidy on my car and just wondering what people have done to hold them up in place?

I can see it can sit on the top of the bulkhead behind the rubber strip but no idea what to do about fixing the sides or back?

Any pics of how people have fitted them would be appreciated.

you can make up a little bracket that fixes underneath the top most wing bolt, then fix your panel down on top of that. you can use two screws on the right and one on the left. it can sit on the little ledge at the front, and the screws at each side are enough to hold it up - dont need fixings at the back.

ive done this with mine, albeit a carbon cover. can just see it in this pic.

Ally sheet with rubber edging and a sheet of rubber superglued underneath over the battery area, all powder coated black. As you say it can rest on the bulkhead lip and on the rear I used 4 black screws along the channel the bonnet rear edge sits into. This also kind of acts like a hinge so you can lift it up and get at the battery area etc.

So are the actual screws in the channel Simps?

Also where did you get the rubber edging from?

If your smart you wont need to drill any holes or make any brackets for it to fit ;)

Under the scuttle panel there is a black plastic cross hatched grille on a Nova, if you cut your scuttle panel correctly, you can slid several milimetres of it between said plastic and the scuttle metal work.

From there, remove the bulkhead rubber seal and your left with a recessed edge to which the new scuttle cover can lay flat ontop of, replace rubber seal and hey presto. Its held in place securly.

Oh, heres one i made earlier.....

Screws are in the channel yeah. Had to take bonnet off to drill the holes.

Got the edging and rubber sheet from a place here in Norwich called Walker rubber. They sell all sorts of rubber based products.
