x16xe stops revving at 4500rpm

i have just fitted a 1.6 16v tigra engine in my nova and when it gets to 4500 rpm it seems to struggel to rev more and takes ages to get to rev limiter.
when it does rev limit the fadders are long like!......!......!.....! instead of!.!.!.! sorry for the digramslol any help would be great

Crank or cam sensor
