im at owkr need to pick up some gear box oil what do i need ?

You work at Halfords & dont even use the guide books on the shelves that are there for customers.

Its some form of ATF & IIRC the blue Halfords bottles have General Motors written on some of them.

Halfords own brand shizzle should be fine, I think they have two different types one of which was for pugs and the other for everything else iirc....

Bear in mind they will be hidden in a random part of the store, nowhere near any of the other oils. Or that could just be my local store being retarded lol

I use halfords own, Ep 80w/90 GL-4 Its in the haynes manual and i also have the bottle from halfords sat in front of me.

I used to use DEX III (technically ATF but GM specced it like that)

Atf is the best to use it goes in most things really.When i worked at a clutch and gearbox centre everything that didnt use atf just had 10/40 engine oil

well iwas hopeing to fix my cv boot and get it all running but .... 1.2 and 1.6 boot arn't the same

Sure? I remember Halfords trying to tell Lee there was two types when we did mine, but he was certain they were all the same.

Depends on the CV joint. The boots I bought blatantly didnt go over the joints the shop sold me... returned them & was given alternative ones which did fit. Theres usually much confusion at motor factors regarding Nova driveshafts & CV's.
