WHOOO!

Just bought a Nova 1.3SR. 1998 white and UNMOLESTED!
Well - I say that - it's currently got 60mm suspension and 16's on it but I dont like them so he's changing it back to standard and sticking a set of Vauxhall 14" alloys on instead - not SR ones but the ones with 4 spokes...remond me of mini versions of the old cavvy gsi 2000 alloys...

Needs a minor bit of work doing to it (front wings are a little tatty and the rear 1/4's are starting to bubble) but nowt a few bits off ebay cant sort in a weekend. Comes with a TOAD cat 1 alarm and 2 key fobs.

Well chuffed.

Its even got the classic chav velour interior.

The engines recently been rebuilt and the guys throwing in a spare windscreen WITH THE BLUE FADE! Sorted!!!

Heres a couple of pics - I'll be removing the naff Sport stickers as theyre gash.

insurance was well cheap too £140 through Lancaster insurance with 0 yrs NCD! (I had 5 yrs but it expired last yr GRRR)

Scared the CRAPOLA out of me driving a Nova again - No power steering and the brakes - WHAT BRAKES!!! there werent any! need to double my braking distances I think...

PV here I come!

i'd say keep the stickers, a piece of retro nova history. You never see an SR with sport livary.

Agreed actually, I think its pretty cool looking. If it was a red SR then it would need putting back to standard :)

Arent the 4 Spoke versions of the Cav GSi items actually Cav SRi wheels?

Also, no way the wheels in the pics are 16", iirc they're 15".

As for the car, thats class looking, love the stickers as well though. Great find mate, well done.

Was thinking that, if its the wheels in the pics - those are 15" Cesaro ones. Someone will bite your arm off for those if you sell them on.

Really? :wtf: I've never seen them in 16"... Would be nice to have them in 16", although I think you may be able to get 6 spoke Mo's in 16".

6 Spoke MOs were all 18" IIRC and the 16" Vauxhall 6 Spokes were fitted on Vectra Super Tourings.

Sorry for Hijacking Ade!!

Damn thats cool! I want one the same.

Love the sound of 1.3 SR's.

The 16" Cesaro look wheels in 5 stud have a different centre cap & wer fitted to 2.0 Vectra Super touring models.

The 4 spoke wheels mentioned were Astra/Belmont & Cavalier CDi wheels.

my first drive in the 1.4 was scary after not driving a std one for nearly 5 years lol.

but there is something absolutely lovely about being behind the wheel of a standard nova :D

good find ade.

Do we need an "old fart with recently acquired std novas" corner at PV? lol

They were fitted to all the supertourings not just the 2.0 ones.

The 17" Speedline Mistrals were fitted to the ST3000's.

Aye, the 16" cesaros are what Chip has fitted to his Rwd beast iirc.

cheers guys,

The wheels were 15's - sorry I mistyped. They looked okay but I didnt want them - they scrubbed too.

Sport stickers...mmm...not too sure. one of them has a crease in it and the bonnet ones not been fitted right so slightly bubbled. I may try and remove and refit.

As for Ades Garage - thet's still ongoing - neveer fear - I've gone too far to give up on it now. In fact another package arrived today (a new full sill for the passenger side).

The wife thinks I'll jack it in - it'll be on hold for a few months though as we're moving house. Need to box everything in the garage up!

nightmare! My loft is FULL of Nova bits - as well as next doors garage LOL
