Every time I tell my mum or dad about a low mileage Nova they always say the same thing

' Thats it been round the clock once '

Truely mint car though, someone should go and view it, maybe snap it up :)

*stands on soap box*

Ok, call me daft but I don't get the whole low mileage = high value thing.

Yes, assuming that car hasn't gone round the clock, which it probably hasn't, its very low mileage. But why spend over the odds when, as rexy said, you could get other "minters" (I don't consider that saloon to be mint btw, it has some blemishes in those pics) with more miles for less money.

Cars with silly daft low mileage just indicate that its been sat for a very long time, or been used for 10 minute runs to the shops and back once a week. Not very good for the engine, tyres etc. Wonder if that car has ever had an oil change? I'd rather have a 20 year old, 100k car that was in top condition and regularly serviced than a 20 year old 10k car that was in top condition but had rarely been serviced as its never hit even the first service interval...

Plus, if you did buy it, what would you do - leave it in a garage all the time? Using it would up the mileage and lose one of its main selling points.

meh.

If the reserve is no more than £800 i'ud say it's worth it IF you have a hardcore build in mind.

What i don't understand though is why is has ANY rot and in places you don't get it on a nova.

'Loons could be dam cool but i'm waiting to see Austin's finished before I decide as he'll be flying the flag ;)

Jack
28-05-08, 12:07 PM
'Loons are dam cool
Better.

~~joycey~~
28-05-08, 12:29 PM
its too much, the owner is just trying to cash in on the fact that nova's are getting harder to come by.

Rexy
28-05-08, 12:30 PM
£500 and i'd have it pmsl, the more i think about it from first seeing it to now... its an absolute rip off that hopefully nobody will pay causing him to lower his price. i might make him an offer of £400 pounds stateing thats its an ugly nova saloon lol that needs work

It appears from the listing that whoever is selling it knows full well what they are making, but I bet he paid feck all for it from this old mans daughter or whoever it was.

Fair play if you can do it IMO

Nope, its the passenger side sill lol

Jack
28-05-08, 06:23 PM
Front, back, middle? I can't visualise it.

If its the back, that would make sense as mine is full of filler lol

ade
28-05-08, 06:33 PM
its the passenger sill from the middle looking through to the drivers side - you can see the centre baffle box.

861 miles? few dings on it for that but still a rare find...

Im with RJ on this topic, you can get mint shell's/cars else where for little money.

I have a pretty mint shell (hatch) and paid £50 for it.

I completely agree, what would you do with it!? its to good to ruin and rip apart for a project imo, mine was in good condition and i thought twice so the options with that are leave it alone in storage for 99% of the time and thats about it.

Best of luck to the new owner though its just a shame its not in a better colour like brown :D lol
