URGE Why didnt I check!

Fitted my engine and f13 box yesterday, had to take the clutch off the engine to get the thing to fit with the box in place. Today went to the car and jacked it up stuck the stands under, and crawled underneathe to find, to my shock, No cover plate!

So now ive got to borrow a hoist again and sort it!

Thought that all vauxhalls had the cover plate :(

Hell knows! I know this is off a 96 astra but thought they were all the same! Damm Took me a whole hour to get it in yesterday too!

haha gutted mate, nope only early f13's have the inspection plate. all f10's do an no f15's do lol..

Nah. Novas etc of that era were the last cars to be so simple & user friendly.

Shame, as that what won Vauxhalls so many fans in the 80's.

Yeah been able to change clutch at the roadsidelollol how many cars can you do that to

Cant you just take the box off? just leave enough room to get the clutch on?

I can but its a pain! Was all going to plan! need to get it off enough to get the torque wrench in too

Torque wrench for what? the clutch plate bolts? I used to work at a clutch and gearbox centre and we NEVER used a torque wrench to tighten them just air ratchet till they were tight
