Tourque Settings

hello

im changing the headgasket on my aug 91 gsi i think its a c16se and i was wondering if anyone can tell me what the correct tourque settings are for the head, as i dont think i done them tight enough the first time on the rebuild.

The haynes dosnt even mention the 1.6! lol

hi chap if uve got the haynes manual back section 13-15 number 7 if not then here gos lol. engine overhaul and repair procedures for the 1.6 r identical to those for the 1.2 and 1.3 engines. except where references are made to the fuel sys components there are 4 stages first one is 25 nm or 18 lbft of torque then three other stages where you turn the bolts a further 60 degrees do this in criss cross fashion so to maintain equal pull on the bolts hope this helps ive just done mine so still fresh in me head lol
