1.4SR - mostly because it is a nice medium...

Not lightening fast but not too slow.
Insurance is gonna be a bit steep - but not as bad as on the top end models.

GSi's are only in insurance grp 11 (2 less than my next car) wich should be affordable for near enough everyone without a bad past, they are the cleanest freshest looking of the standard cars and are nowadays cheap as sh*t as you can pick a tidy one up for around ?700, also you dont need to worry as its got sunroof, central locking, electric windows and stuff like the anti roll bars etc. wich are the things people do first to them anyway :!:

better off aiming a little bit lower if you ask me.

I would of course love to have a gsi - hoping that's what i am going to turn into a 2.0 lirte next year - but froma practical point of view - 1.4.

well i voted GSI because i like mk2's and the faster the better in my book and the insurance is not exactley off the chart compared with some other cars. + it is a stronger chassis (thicker metal in engine bay) so it is a better base for big lump fun (unlike my 1.4).

out of the smaller engines i go for the 1.3sr. cheap insurance, quite fast and looks harder then the gay 1.4sri's :lol:
(and there the only cars i've ever owned!)

in the bigger capacity i go gte cos (as previously said) its a lot harder and manly than the girly gsi

honestly the best nova would have to be a GSI, the best modded would have to be a GSI with a 2.0L plant, and the best all rounder for insurance etc would have to be from the SR range, as you get electrics, sun roof, nice interior, nice looks and insurance aint a killer! :lol:
