2l Injectors on GTE

Is it worth fitting 2l injectors to a GTE, will it make it any faster? Which is the best cam to fit,one that doesn`t make it indrivable? Also is it worth fitting a Mk2 dash, and has anyone got one (with connectors!)

dunno, about injectors, Shrick Cams are ment to be the best i think!! + it is worth fitting a mk2 dash!!

Fitting bigger injectors will just pump extra fuel in, this is no use as you need the extra air to go with the fuel you will just get a rich mixture. Extra air is the hard bit to get in to the engine, this is why most mods revolve around getting air in and out of the engine more efficiently. ie better filters that cause less restriction, bigger bore exhausts with no baffles, Gas flowing which alows a smother passage for air through the head/valves. Once you have the extra air the fuel is relativly easy to increase with things such as fuel rail pressure. increasing the fuel presure means the injector still opens for the same amount of time, but because of the higher pressure behind it more fuel is injected. Some very highly modified cars need bigger injectors but these are extream casses, ie 500bhp cossies.
