hey everyone, its been a while since ive been on here properly (as a nova owner anyway) but ive recently bought a nova in need of tlc, spent around a month getting it to this stage which im happy with, interior is standard other than door and dash builds, so was wanting leather re-trim,i dunno yet.any suggestions for interior? so far ive treated the old LET to, suspension,wheels,omex600,full rebuild(loads of parts im not going into right now),hoses, and a good few hours of buffing and cutting paste......im really chuffed with it,not to everones taste i know but i like it,hoping for around 320-340bhp when its r/roaded and ive finished setting it up,jus been tweaking at the mo....sorry for the essay and enjoy the pics, comments welcome!!!

Free? Lmao.

Have you left the bonnet open in the 1st pic of is it bent?

craigf
23-05-08, 12:29 AM
no,bonnet isnt bent, pic was taken literally seconds after wheels and suspension arrived so bonnet was thrown on for a quick pic...the wheels are team dynamics pro race 1.2's with toyos...195/45/r16.i personally have never liked that rear bumper onother novas but i think it sort of pulls it off,im happy anyway, its only really for a summer toy, crail, knockhill etc...

I know where you are coming from but theirs only so many times we can tell people with kits on novas to change to GSi style before it gets boring.

Keep the kit!

Be different lol.

nah man, kitted up novas will always be wrong. i dont mind the front bumper, looks almost standard and the big mouth has a function, but he back bumper gives it a fat ass!!

haha,i know i know but to be honest, ive owned and restored 4 novas in the past 7-8 years, all ended up gsi spec exterior,i honestly like it the way it is,the origional plan was to spend on the engine and leave exterior as it was like this when i bought it,cant be hooped with changing it,jus gonna use it this summer, stick it back in the garage and maybe a gsi kit etc for next year.its just for a bit of fun anyway, ill wear a balaclava so no-one knows its me with the "bodykit"..haha

bloody hell, still got the stickers on the tyres, must be new. not cheap them wheels, i priced a set up for my nova, with 195/45/15 tyres came to about £600. wish i had the money to burn.

The nova looks very well done, engine looks nicely fitted etc.
Chrome wash/coolant tanks are required ;)

yea i agree with adam, the manky washer and coolant bottles let the bay down a bit.

craigf
23-05-08, 06:58 PM
i know, i agree, thats why i have a coolant tank in the post...as for the washer bottle...any suggestions of tidy ones?

craigf
23-05-08, 10:30 PM
if its the gap between the bumper and wing ur talking about, its not the wing, its the kingdom bumper on the front thats wider, hence the gap,its only a toy,im not worried about panel gaps, although i would worry if the gaps were like that on my m3 but the nov is jus a weekend toy.cheers again for your comments and looking!
