Hello everybody.

I've bought a c14se engine for my Nova (the 1.4 8v), which has come out of an Astra.

I have just realised the donor car is an automatic (I know, I know, I'm daft), but I want to put a 1.4 sr box onto it.

Have I made a terrible mistake, or will it fit onto it? Is the bell-housing different?

And if it does fit, how much work will it require to do it? Will I need to modify anything or can I just put a clutch, flywheel etc on it?

Thanks for your help.

p.s. please don't post just to tell me I'm an idiot for buying it wihtout realising, I know that already...!

automatic engines are usually better because thay revv higher. all you need to change is the box, you will need a clutch and flywheel suited for that engine and box.
