Stupid Steering Wheel

Ive had the basic steering whell in my car for ages now, and i thought i deserved a change. So i bought myself a GTE steering wheel, its alot more chunky to gripa dn loks stunning. 1 problem.. my stubborn old one rufuses to come off, no matter how much i yank it, brut force wont get it off.. nor wil a hammer... any suggestions?

i had that problem too. get yourself a fairly large punch or similar device and a nice sized hammer. position your knees behind the wheel and push with your legs as you whack the centre with the punch/hammer combo.

leave the nut on the end of the column or the wheel might crack you in the head!

that or find some small double legged pullers...
