Right i want some new wheels, i only have a 1.2 engine, so i am wondering if i put 16's on it whether it's gona make it well slow compaired 2 15s coz it's slow @ mo anyway and i'd rather have 15s which dont look as good than be well slow!

Ok, if u gonna get bigger wheels it gonna mess up ur acceleration wotever. U can help it buy gettin the lowewst profile tyres but i'll cost u. Most company's sell 15" with 195/50 but u should have 195/45. I wouldnt recommend having 16" on a 1.2. The tyres would cost more than the car.

Rob i got told that if you have 195/50/15 it will scrub so stick to 195/45/15, im thinking about doing the same but i decided to go for a set of cav 14" alloys so i dont lose power and dont have to mod my arches.
or rob go european go low with tiny alloys,

fook all that, stick a set of 6.5" x 16 alloys (with a 49mm offset) and get 195/45/16 Michelins coz they are pretty cheap. - Rob why you be so worried about speed, you know your car is a 1.2 so 0-60 times aren't going to be sub 10 secs more like 14ish the difference between 14" wheels on 185/60/14 (standard GTE tyre) and 195/45/16 will be about point 1 of a second because the roliing diameter is the same except for a centimetre or so, and your car will actually gain top end speed - so don't worry about that.
QUICK TIP -
When changing wheels, every inch bigger you go, change the tyre profile down 2 sizes eg a 14 inch using 195/65.14 chages to 195/50/14 - these two wheels have exactly the same rolling diameter!

I have 195/50/15's at the moment, and my arches are rolled so that is not a problem so if i put 195/45/16 's on be any different from 195/50/16's ?????

i had the same probs in buying if i'd had 195/50/15's it would save u nearly ?80 or so depending on the tyres, but dont be fooled listento these guys we know wot we iz talkin about if u ave the 195/50/15's or 16's you'll regret it cos the money u saved on the tyres it will all be goin back on the arches
