Drop a 1.6 engine in, if you can afford the insurance its cheaper than messing about with the 1.2

I agree with bax, fit a 1.3/1.4 im doing the conversion from 1.2 to 1.4 and its easy, Me no mechanial know how and ive done most of it on my own, im borrowing a hoist now, although it can be done without!

whats your advice on air intake systems. does this have to be for a 1.2 and is there any chance of getting 1 from a scrrappy. will this bring any more performance? and would a astra break servo fit a 1989 1.2 nova sting. i assume it does. Cheers

The troublwe with tuning the 1.2 is that its such a pap engine anayway compared with the 1.3.

I'd really just keep the rest of the car tip-top. Save & have more money for a worthwhile engine upgrade in a year or 2.
