id build a 'mini bertha' :

ultra wide arched
ds firenza nose grafted on to one piece front end
image splitties (polished outer & gold centre)
painted silver, red, white and green castrol livery
2.3 chevette lump and running gear incl. rwd set up
proflex shockers
totally stripped incl dash
mental matt black cage
side exit pipe

would probably look utterly ridiculous and be a pig to drive - i'd love her though:thumb:

I live in a fairly simple world so it would be:

Full bare metal respray from the ground up, extensive rot protection, properly sound deadened interior, Astra Gsi 888 interior seats and door cards, fully Vaux reconditioned LET with 80k warrenty and reconditioned F28. Light smoke tints, proper custom exhaust system that doesnt knock, lowered on quality springs.

Then a live in a country with no speed bumps or speed cameras with a government run by F1 drivers with roads that are smoooooth, straight and with some lovely twisty bits in between the 4 mile dead straight road.

Then a fit bird as a wife, o sorry thats reality lol, with a private 4 mile track 2.5 miles of staright and 1.5 miles of corners.

Thats about it!

Theres several reasons TBH Mark, i can insure a £120 nacker one for £300 yet when some spanner ploughts into the back of it, the insurance pay out £1k :D

Theres a saying, "you can only have what you can afford". So i have cheap as chips sh1tbox Nova's to get me around, as the majority of my money goes into renovating my new house. My project Nova has come to an enourmous stop, and its fate is still yet to be decided. More then likely ill weight it all in/eBay the parts.

Once the House is done, my funds will go back into another car, about £14k's worth of Cosworth.

I just need an SCCR and an LSD and ive built my ideal Nova :) That was the plan from the start anyway.

Oooh, i love these kind of threads!
Right, i'd have a......
Mk1 saloon, painted in either original brown or beige, with either a 1.3 cdti tuned to the hilt, or a 1.9 cdti (z19dth) again tuned to the hilt.
It'd also have to have;
Air con,
fluid or epas,
Abs/tc
Disc brakes all round,
Full metal sliding roof, (or perhaps a panoramic screen?)
Studded draylon or suede interior in body colour, With matching flocking.
8 or 9x 13's (can't decide on a style, too much choice!)
Full air suspension,
oh, and lashings of chrome!

(Not to self- collect lottery ticket on way home from work tommorow)

Or i'd settle for that saloonestate jack posted, that'd be awsome!

i would like to buy a brand new red 1.2 Merit with no extras and no rear wiper. it will have no radio so that the nasty wing mounted ariel would not be there to cause all manor of corrosive violations of my wing and inner wing gaurd. i would take it home and insert myself into the cavities and fill it with liquid (to protect the precious car from rust) i would change the oil every 1000 miles and keep it in a warm place that was dry (dry means there would be no wet and warm means it would not be too cold) this way the precious 1.2 OHV engine would never have to start from cold (this may lead to problems with the choke sticking as it will not be used but i think with regular maintenance it will be lubricated and ready for use should the un thinkable happen that it has to be started from cold!!), the engine would be at its optimum all the time. it would be a machine ready for action in every possible way. i would make sure the concentration of screenwash and anti-freeze would be pefect and always topped up so that it is nice. the seats would have plastic covers so i do not mess the seats and the door trims would be protected too (as well)

i would have the air taken out of the wheels and filled with N2 instead so the std tyres are at their optimum performance and ready for all action that the merit and i will be tackling together (as a wonderful team)

oh i can but dream of the perfect day occuring, but the question is, is there ever a question to answer or will this be a dreaming of my vivid imagination as a small boy of 10? perhaps there are some things in life we will never know (realise) if this dream of owning such a beautiful car will ever happen? i hope so. perhaps maybe one day (but not today)
