Nova broken down - got ignition lights won't turn over.

As it says...

Car was running, pulled in to petrol station, won't restart.

Turning car over results in a 'click'.

Thinking it's either ignition switch or jammed starter.

Anyone any other ideas?

dodgy earth, low battery or stuck starter, tap the starter with a hammer:thumb:

Apparently battery, it went with a jump, but the batt gauge on the dash is up and the wipers, radio, lights, fuel pump (buzz) etc all working OK.

Hmmmm. More investigation required.

Check the gearbox earth

Are the terminals tight? It does sound like an earthing fault. Has your interior clock stopped? Sterio lost its pre set radio Stations?

Sounds like a bolt has vibrated loose securing the starter supply/earth cable resulting in a dodgy connection, I had the exact same problem on my van. Turned the key and all you got was a 'click' noise.

Hope you don't have T40's as the bolt was a bitch to get to lol
