not long till pv and the xe's playin up??clutch cable snapped on me the other day and the engine was earthing out on it,which caused the plastic to melt on the cable,now it wont idle without cutting out???any???ive put lots of earths on to see if it was that but nothing improving???

I would put a new clutch cable in(unless you already have) then fit a new power cable between the battery and the starter as it may of broken down when it got earthed out.
Also try another earth for the battery.
