can vauxhall still get hold of water pipes for my 1.6gte engine. its the pipe that runs from the temp sensor thing, under the throttle body, small pipe goes into he bottom to cool it, then goes into the inlet manifold. anyone got a part number for this or even have a spare? :thumb: need this asap to get the engine finished.

Yep! they can indeed, however it took them 6weeks a couple of years ago for me! and cost £45 :(

That pipe is a git to fit with engine in!

I might have a spare but don;t hold me to that as i can't check till the weekend... Might even have my Brand new one somewhere ;)

I'll look at the weekend, need to rebuild my GTE engine and sell it, so will go through my piles of "CRAP" and have a gander!

Mine split driving back from Liverpool to Swansea, I'd luckily just got into Swansea and the steam bellowed from ym bonnet lol No car for 6weeks while i got messed around and £45 for the rodgering wasn't too good though :(

Just because it took one dealer 6 weeks means Jack! Atleast ask.

I may have one also thiough I'm inclined to keep it. You could always block off the TB fitting if thats the one with the slit.

yea its the t/b one thats split, its only minimal at the moment but dont want to go any distance with it dripping, could get worse. for the moment lots of silicone, ptfe and about 100 layers of insulation tape are stopping the leak.

Araldite a bolt into it & stick a jubille clip on it. You dont need a TB pre-heater anyway.

this thats going to be the easiest solution tbh. wasent sure if you needed it or not, some say yes, some say no.

For other countries that the engine is used in, when temps reach like -20c, so a tb heater is kind of handy :D
Its not needed in the uk at all :)

***Stupid question time***

Could you not cut the hose down a slight few mm to where the leak is?

yeah, get a similar pipe to the one u need but without the 3rd small tb heater pipe on. remove all the tb small heater pipes and then block the last one that goes onto the tb.. not needed at all. and saves you spending almost 50quid on a stupid pipe lol

I just received a load of hoses from my vauxhall dealer. The only problem was that i had to provide the part numbers. I gave all the part numbers last monday and they said to pick up the hoses on wednesday. tbh i thought yeah right, however to my shock, all the pipes were there. I couldnt believe it because i tried everywhere and left vxhall to the last doh!

Just try and get the part numbers mate.
