Ive fitte twin weber 40 dcoes to a mates 1.6 gte and drilled and tapped one of the manifold ports to take a vacuum advance from, (we wanted to use a 1.4sr dizzy because it was new) trouble is that because the vacuum only comes from one inlet chamber it pulses and is fucking up the advance mechanism. IF you have done this conversion which dizzy do you use, does it have a vac advance ? if not where do i get a dizzy that does not use vacuum mechanism to advance?

thanks a lot

Disable and forget vacuum advance -not necessary as dizzy has a mechanical advance retard which does all the important work.

You'll get better economy with the vac advance connected, but it wont effect power.

you should just leave the vacum disconnected
then when you take it to the rolling road which you HAVE got to do
they will set it up for you
even better would be to send your dizzy off to some one like
aldon distributers they will modify the ignition curve for you and take off the vacum unit PERFECT normaly only about ?40
