Anyone else not liking the new Ebay layout & search facility?
I think its crap & hard going! Also my stored searches dont seem to be bringing up as many results as before.
Think the most annoying is its so difficult to change your search within a category or change the category for the same search.
As they say, if it aint broke, dont fix it!
Anyone know if you can opt out as other countries still have the old type search and layout

the most annoying thing about ebay now is that you cant leave a buyer a negative or neutral feedback, so if they mess you about and take forever to pay etc all you can leave is a positive.

pretty bloody shocking really:mad:

Your joking?? WTF's that all about? I stricly look for neg feedback when im buying or selling?

I take its more PC bollocks, as leaving neg feedback may offend lol

as apparently it will help the buyers who are too scared to leave a negative incase they get retaliatory feedback

So people could be buying things not paying and or taking 3 weeks to pay yet all you can do is leave a positive? ive had to leave feedback for awkward buyers by giving negative info on a positive feedback then following up to feedback left to finish what i had to say lol

Utterly crap!

The follow up feature was good as you could leave an excuse as to why you were given Neg anyway.

Might be trialling a new look - I seem to recall going into my ebay a while back and it came up with a message saying they were trialling a new layout - which, incidentally was poo. After a few visits it turned back to "normal".

The feedback thing is rubbish though. No doubt ebay were fed up of spending all their time investigating feedback complaints.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback about the updated eBay.co.uk search. We're
sorry to hear you don't like the changes we've made.

We've been testing different solutions aimed at making it easier and
faster for buyers to find the items they're looking for. The new search
system returns additional results so that relevant items are not
excluded from the results. We've also redesigned the search results page
to make it easier for buyers to refine their search.

For example, if a buyer searches for "red size 12 shoes", instead of
looking just for listings with all the words "red", "size", "12", and
"shoes" in the item title the search engine will find all the items in
the shoe category that are size 12 and in the colour red.

Once the search results are returned, the buyer should see all the
relevant items, and can then to narrow their results further according
to important details such as size, colour, and type.

For more information about the new search copy this link into a new
browser window:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/newsearch

At present this new search is being tested on a small percentage of
users, if you would like to return to the standard search method you can
do so by clearing the cookies from your PC.

If you're unsure how to do this, copy this link into a new browser
window:

I trust this information is helpful and wish you all the best for your
future trading on eBay. Please let us know if we can be of further
assistance.

Kind regards,

Anna Reese

So what happens to items that are in the wrong category?
