No idea, I used to buy mine at asda for 56p a litre (in seperate bottles), they started getting really funny about it as I would empty the shelf in one go. Then finally they double the price of it as well as increasing the price of every other oils so that it was more than diesel.

After looking everywhere in my area the cheapest I can get per litre is 86p and that is from costco. People are even charging for waste oil now, thats how bad its getting.

Works will, although you get a kit to heat it before it hits the engine to make it burn better. Apparently works very very well.

^^ what oil was that? Some oils dont work well, the best ive found is rapeseed for mine. More than likely you had an air lock in the fuel system if you had that problem, everytime I fill mine it gets an air lock in and will ru like a bag of **** until its past.

Everyone tells me that but they changed the law recently so you are allowed 2500L a year before you pay duty on it. And I only use about 40-50 a month.

If you dont keep a record, and you're suspected of using more than 2500L, you can be forced to pay duty on everything they think you've used, so its worth keeping/creating;) records of what you've used.

surely if your being accused of a crime, its not up to you to prove your innocence, its up to the authorities to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that you HAVE in fact exceeded your 2500l limit.

thats how the law works.

50/50 mix is good for throughout the year, but in the summer you can run a bit more veg oil,

cold starts are a nightmare when its straight oil, and almost impossible when its very cold.

a heater would help this tho, but until its been turning over for a few times, and the fuel has been flowing, the oil will not be hot at the pump and injectors

pffffft I ran mine on pure cooking oil through winter and at temperatures of -8 degrees lol. Couple of mins with a blow touch an she fired straight up, only thing Ive done is fit a copper fuel line around the manifold to pre heat the oil once its running.
