fuel feed for engine again

ive asked before and got some answers about how to fuel up a xe from the tank. came up with this type of thing hard to expalin but using rubber hose and coper hose.

now can i use rubber hose all the way to the engine?

and also i have got a set of fuel lines from a gsi, witht he plastic hoses. can i use them?

its doing my head in now, just cant figue where to start!

Filter goes before the pump.

I cant see a reason why you cant use rubber hose all the way, but copper is cheaper and harder.
