the engine and box going into my 1litre nova is a tuned 1400 with 5 speed close ratio box, the car has a 4 speed f10 so will i need to change all of the linkage right back to the gear lever ( i have the lever and shift rods from a 5 speed corsa b if thatll fit even with work as im a fabricator).

You can use the existing linkage, but under the gearstick gaiter inside the car there might be a plastic lug that you need to remove to be able to select fifth.

ok mate will be different though as the 4 speed is push down reverse and the 5 speed is lift up reverse

all novas have push down reverse mate. all you will need to do is as they said, remove the litle lug on the gear stick, maybe a little bit more trimming if your struggling to set the gears up.

use two of ya to set the gears up though and you should be fine mate.

You need the linkage off the F10, as the linkage you need depends on the car, not the gearbox.

soi need to keep all the linkage gubbins thats attached to the top of the f10 gearbox not the stuff thats attached to the 5 speed thats goin in.

sorry for bein a dumb**** but as some people know this is my first vauxhall project

That is correct. Use the whole gearbox mount with the attached linkage from the Nova (F10).
