If youre serious about restoring your Nova (or any other car) then you HAVE to get underneath the car and sort out the chassis...

If you dont have a pit or a decent hydraulic ramp this can be a real pain in the anus.

What you need is one of these -

Chassis tilter - According to the site one will cost you £130 + £30 delivery which is an absolute bargain - unless you fancy making your own...and personally I cant be bovvered!

I was reading austin's thread and saw how easy he built one and got excited but then thought sod it, every panel is already dented - just roll it over! lol

i 've already mae up a front and back mount for 1 of thenses on my noav.

then i''ll just be making the frame with scaffolding bars when it comes to the time.

it toke me about 1/2 and hour to make the 2 mounts.

and wont take long to clamp up a frame come the time.

easy peasy.

and then i'll just use swivvle clamps in the middle of tha scaffolding bar like this.

it means it can be taken appart reall easily aswell..............and all i'll need to hold on to will be the two main mounting points.

just used tyres for mine..all panels were off, and didnt make a mark/dent on the shell.

we made a roll over jig for my uncles impreza rally car, was pretty easy and worked very well..could turn it over with one finger..ha ha

ok, with a nova on a jig like this using both front and rear bumper mounting pounts to mount the jig to, how does it balance? i,e start turning it over and will it be top heavy and try spinnin on to its roof fast or is it quite balanceD?
