Fuel problems? maybe?

Hi i have noticed that my car is using quite a lot of fuel. not really bootin it but i used over a quarter of a tank goin 45 miles on the motorway @ 70-80. no signs of leaks? any ideas?

Check the plugs and things, and do a full service as said above

i doubt your fuel gauge is very accurate (mine isnt) way i work it out once in a while is to put a full tank in (till it clicks off on the pump) then drive around as normal and then fill her back up to the same point and calculate the MPG (multiply the liters by 4.546 to put into uk gallons and then divide the milage by the gallons to get MPG) mine is usually about 35 MPG on a 1.2 nova
