i think that hamering the chasses i will lose the robusty of it , i am tinking to fitet in an other place like the td engines but im not shor , do you tink is a good idea hemering the chasses or its bater to fittet like the td ?
they will be thousands that have been fitted liek that , other option it to cut and weld a recess for it ,
i wanted to fit mine on the front of the block rather the hit my chassis leg , but i couldnt find enough info or someone who had the time to do it

Doesn't have to be as extreme as that, but it should give you an idea.
(btw that's one of joff's rebuild pics)

i AM VERY CONCIS of chasse robusty case in malta we dont have A VERY good roads and the cars neads to handelet
I live In Ireland, and our roads are very very bad.
As for the Chassis leg, the car needs only to have the leg beaten back 5-10mm, not enough to do any damage or weaken the car.
Alternatively, you could get an Altinator and bottom pulley off an Early Cavalier SRi (Vectra GT) and use those instead. That way you can also do away with the Tensioner as with the Power steering pump.
You can put a front mounted Alt. on like Chris T did:

And fitted:

what crank pully do you fitt on it?
nova258

the standart pully is multy v i nead to work like dat with singil v
Early Astra gte's were single V.
Or get the outer V lathed off to make it a single V

the problem is thjat is aonly sprokit multy v and it is a 4 bolt pully
Use however many holes line up with the crank.
Its not like its got a load of stress on it anyway :)
