Heres my new Nova, its a 1.2 4 speed Nova Scotia!

Its on 80,000 miles and bar the rear arches and drivers door it is pretty mint.

Ive lined up a full stainless system, Laguna splitter, Nova GTE interior, GM Mudflaps, GSi Dials, -60mm Front springs & shocks, -90mm Rear springs & shortened shocks, GSi spoiler and ive got a set of 3 spokes.

i just painted them not long ago but im now unsure on whether to keep them white or go for a metallic grey colour as thats the colour ill be painting the bumpers.

The door is knackered the corner has rotten away, im going to sand down the arches to see if there is any clean metal as they are solid but the paint is coming off.

Exactly. My Opel centres are for my Opel. My Vauxhall ones are for my Vauxhall. No point dressing something up as something it isnt.

Looking through the back window there, they look like GTE dials, which won't fit a Mk2 dash I don't think ?

muzzy

i got them out of a mk1 sr in the scrappy, not planning on using them as i want mk2 sr dials so that i dont have to wire so much up.

well it looks like this is going to need re-shelled :(

Took off underseal and found an absolutely fooked floor, inner arch, rear chassis legs and boot floor, there was so much underseal on it was actually solid until it came off and showed me what it had hidden.

So much for the engine, T40s etc i had lined up

Dosnt sound that bad tbh :/ floor maybe but its all repairable.
mine has gone on the inner arch but im not sure what to do with it so far. boot floor is a very common thing :/
Any nova is going to need welding whatever.

ive got to consider whether its worth repairing, im going to end up spending hours taking the underseal off and going by this small corner at the front end ive done i think its going to be in a bad state. To me it looks like it wasnt cleaned properly before the 40 layers of waxoil was caked on.

Got any photos of the floor? Can't be that bad...

muzzy

its just the underside of the floor, inside its solid, but its the inner arches that are the worst, both sides are like that, it goes right right through into the car and even inside is rotten. boot floor has one corner missing the spare wheel well has holes in it now, passenger sill bends with your hand and round the strut on the passenger side is crumbling to pieces.
