I think they're rivited in place in some way, get your head in there with a small grinder and cut them off.

Yep grinder probably best idea. Got my bonnet down with 4 pins, and the hinges are a right bas**rd. Always in the way, especially when your trying to mess around putting bonnet pins in just in front of windscreen.

When I removed my hinges I just pushed them inwards and they popped off what ever the hell they were mounted to. No need for cutting etc :D

Surely they'dhit the back of the bulk head when pushed down fully?

I'm nearly sure theres a Grommit holding them in place, although now I'm wondering if its plactic(?)

There held on with a big rivot type thing, best was to get them off is to drill the heads off the rivots, bit tight for space to get the drill in but its do-able.
Thats how i done mine, had to fit new hinges due to bending the old ones.
