everyone says that digi dashes read out if youve got 15" alloys and the red switch is the wrong way etc.. does anyone know what the ACTUAL speed is rather than what it says on the dash?

so like.. if the dash says 40.. what is it actually.. fi you get me lol

we need them for going to santa pod lol :thumb:

If its double, you have the wrong transducer

If you've got the right transducer then the dash over reads by 10%
As do all speedos

Well not really tbh.

My corsa XE reads SPOT on, which is rare, and my Combo reads 7mph out with same set up - 16s etc... lol

limiter (on GPS) in 2nd is 58 mph 3rd is 84mph and 4th is 109mph - of course this is dependant on wheels etc... but it gives you an idea.

Is it actually possible to calibrate them at all or do you just have to find out with sat nav system or something and figure it out from there? lol (Wondering mainly about SR dials because I have a set on the way)

Erm, last time i sat-nav'd mine. it's usually spot on (undereading by about 2-3mph , same with most cars) untill you start doing motorway speeds. Then it's about 6mph out !

My Renault Laguna was about 12mph out @ 80mph - Renault quality !

Basically, if the dash is reading the speed-limit. you will be fine, just make sure it's not twisted over to KPH because you definetly will not be fine ;)

if it's reading KPH,. it will still be fine, but you'll be way way way below the speed limit lol

Assuming the Saloon had standard steel wheels of 175/70/13, it now has 195/60/15.

"At indicated 70mph, your actual speed will be 77.2mph"

FAIL lol

using the roadside speed indicator thingies (supposed to be more effective than camersa lol) my digi dash reads 30mph and the sign displays 26mph!!

Ahh, but as i said, a nova speedo will probably read 70mph at 77.2 mph, therefore, your baloon tyres my just create the worlds most accurate nova speedo lol
