"Oh no, i think the linkage fell off" lol
Classic lol
Wonder if i can make an exhaust out of that putty stuff you get to fill holes in back boxes lol
i had linkage problems with mine...
remember rexy breaking it, when i was about 30mines from home, and couldnt fix it, there and then..
nice drive back in 3rd gear all the way home lol
Awesome! Forgot the lightableupable of an XE, great!
It was the big balljoint which normally never fails unless its been forced apart before. This ones definately been tampered with in the past. It'll be fine for now so long as i dont drive it again lol

exactly the same as mine too  lol
Its ok, I'm too scared to touch the accelerator, let alone the gear lever lol
Might see if i can get a replacement from the local scrappy whilst there's some novas up there. How hard is it to remove?
Itll be a ballache to swap from above, but from under the car it wont be too bad tbh.
Should be able to get under, this place only has a couple of cars stacked up - 90% of the cars are propped up on a few wheels so ample space underneath :D

Big ball joint as in the rubber block in this pic?

Cut it off,

Weld a £5 rosejoint in it's place,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v689/mickyd79/Project/HPIM2059.jpg
A bit of steel tube welded on for spacing and a bolt to hold it all together,

Never had a problem with mine after doing that, apart from those daft centre pivot bushes.
Bit overkill for this car tbh lol. A nice unmolested one will be fine :)
