ok i have a ecu chip coming (not the potato kind !) and iv never fitted one b4 so how do i do it ?????

For XE???
Crack open the ECU, screws, clips & what not.
Locate the chip(s) that are being switched & typically carefully unsolder them, solder a chip holder into its place & then push the chip into its holder, assuming you know the correct way round etc....
Any gen on what you've bought, where from etc?

oh yea its an xe chip :)
i bought it off ebay apprently eds but ill see ? just says increased power and rev limit raised to 7400 ?
ill give it a go n see wot occurs :P
Shame power peaks well below there though? Lol
Unless of course you have different cams etc fitted

like craig said, solder a chip holder in and push the chip into that. DO NOT solder the chip in as you can wipe it!!

OH RITE ill give it n the ecu to the auto electrician we use at work :)
yea it did say for best use with cams but iv not got any.......yet ;)
you 100% sure its for an XE and not a LET.... ive never seen an EDS (copy) for an XE
