Which wire is the permanent live?? RED?

The back of my lighting plug switch. I think/suspect the switch itself is faulty.. but basically its popping the illumination fuse (10a) everytime i try to switch lights on.. It was working before all fine, then i wired up my foglamp with works, but now have this issue on it blowing the fuse..
help please lol

3 options:
1.strip the wires that you wired in and go over the instructions again and check wether u need to insert a different fuse or wire up a whole new fuse system
2. rip it out and have fitted by a proffesional
3. or maybe cheaper take it to a car electrical speacialist and have them look over it and access whats wrong (make sure to take the wiring diagram if any)

ive ran out of fuses (lol) to have removed/undone all my fog lamp wiring today, so tommorow i will do this and see if it puts us back to where i was before. But im not a numpty (much) im sure what ive done is sound, and its just sods law with the lighting switch.. when i test all the wires, non of them give a good constant 12V+.. Im aware the grey/green receives illumination voltage from the swtich, brown earth etc.. but theres no feed to the switch..
The red tries to flashing up a over 12V feed for a split sec. then vanishes to a seeming ground..? :(

'Fault' found. Dodgy multimeter. lol. Borrowed a good one from work - there was no problem with the red wire,..
So i disconnected the recent parts of the fog lamp wiring i did, mainly illumination (connections i made using the dodgy multimeter, it seemed to read fine,.. totally fooled) tried the switch: All ok. The bulb is out on the switch (the one that tells u when the switch is on) so i took apart the switch to see and now i cant put it back together lol. So i need a new switch. All else ok. Thanks for the advice so far guys.
Just to check tho..
On the foglamp switch there are 3 pins: 1.)power in, this then connects to 2.)power out (going to foglamp) and illuminates the bulb in the switch. So whats the 3rd do.. earth??
